Hotel Review: Home Inn Musanze

Over the weekend I got to travel to Musanze and spent several hours there. For the most part of it I was waiting for what had taken me there but the other was spent taking in all it has to offer.

I got lucky to find, through a colleague of mine, a gem in the middle of uncertainty named Home Inn.

Home Inn is a two-star hotel in the heart of Musanze but if you ask me, I'd add a star for the service it offers. (The receptionist told me the reason they are two-star is the lack of a swimming pool)

We got there a little late owing to the fact that we left Kigali later in the evening. It takes two hours to drive there if you use public transport but if travelling privately it could be an hour give or take a few minutes.

By good luck Home Inn wasn't fully booked. Although it's good to know that their peak season is in July so you are better off booking early.

I loved everything there so I asked for a tour around the place just to take it all in.

All kidding aside,  I would recommend any person wanting to visit Musanze to check that spot if you can.
Their amenities are: 17 rooms in total consisting of single rooms, twin bedrooms, and an apartment; restaurant and a lounging area. For approximately 70 USD you could stay in their rooms depending on your preference.

The room I got had a balcony and so are most of them. Anything for a good view amairite?
FYI, this is not a paid post. I just liked the vibe and ambiance the place offered as well as the proximity to where I needed to be.

Wanna Visit Rwanda?

Well it's hard not to sound biased for the country I can now proudly call home, see I was born and raised here for three years but the most of my growing up days were spent in exile. These are the problems that come with violence- people get displaced and grow up feeling like outcasts in countries they thought were a solace but end up feeling out of place as long as they can remember. I am speaking out of personal experience and from talks I have had with my friends.

So just to give you a pictorial of what it is to finally get to experience feeling alive, free, accepted and home! My country just makes my heart want to burst in love! See there is something about nature, travel and the whole sense of belonging. These are pure joys and when you get to live them daily it's an added bonus.
The pictures are from my phone and they span for as long as I can remember and as recent as today. So brace yourselves and enjoy your view. I am so super grateful to live these moments.

The beauty is what gives resilience of a people whose past was mired with ugly pain.

There is so much color you cannot miss beauty even if your heart is cold.

The other beauty is that God gave Rwanda a natural beauty together with the Government's policy masterminded by our Prez it is simply a to die for environment.

At night the city is still alive. What more could you ask for?

at dusk it is such a soothing view.

A scenic view is the promising result you can bank on.

For me, every day is unreal. If you know what it means to grow away from your home you know what I mean. I just can't contain myself with this love! Geesh!

Also there are extremely innovative projects going on in the country.

One thing you won't miss is very many instances to catch art around.

That's it folks. I know this isn't the entire country but to be honest, it is enough to give you a sense of why I love my country and why after 20 years away I can actually sleep and dream of beautiful dreams of content. One thing's for sure! I am grateful!!!
